and here it comes...

apparently the results for the test here are released over the whole week, with level 1 getting their results early this week and level 4 getting theirs today.

since mine was level 3, mine came yesterday. (i knew because i was lurking at a forum where people were opening their envelopes in front of the computer.) unfortunately, i had my ballet class, so i only could get my grubby hands on it at 10pm.

now, i knew for sure i was going to pass. so now it was just a matter of knowing how well i passed. my aim was 350. i thought i might miss it by a few marks.

the envelope. i was tearing it open the moment i got into the house, shaking it to get the results slip out.



there was a huge silent scream moment. full marks for listening? are you sure? ARE YOU SURE? (my sis asked the same question, though the nuances might have been different LOL.)

damn. i was planning to give myself a 40 point berth for level 2. so that means...i have to get 346?! muri da...

now what?

bad economy = difficulty in finding job. i have one for another 4 months but after that, i might have trouble feeding myself, let alone save another few more thousands.

i'm now trying to survive on less than $500 per month, with the bulk of my salary going into my japan funds. even though that's not going to be enough. before buying anything, i ask myself if it was more necessary than another day's rent in japan.

i'm also spending $200 per month on japanese classes in preparation. this is something i can't save on, since theoretically, it will help me save money by ensuring i get put in a higher level class when i do get there.

so now what? there really isn't an answer, is there?

well, they sent me a nice note saying they didn't want me, which is not entirely unexpected. i wouldn't want me too.

that said, i am now in need of 20 thousand dollars so that i can go by myself. which would probably be more interesting.

since this year is supposed to be a very lucky year for me, *tilts head upwards* rain some cash down on me this year, willya!
